It has been a while since I have added more Alastairs to the page, mainly because I have been working extra hard on Presario Productions since my return to the USA from Finland, Europe. My additions were sparked by an interesting email I received from a gentleman named Matt Wilson, who requested that I add a preacher named Alastair Begg to the site. Unfortunately after some research, I found that the true spelling of the gentleman’s name was Alister Begg, which doesn’t fit within the description of the site (however you can read more about him at http://www.truthforlife.org/beggparkside.php.) Maybe at some point I will start a supplemental version of the site for people whose names are pronounced ‘Alastair’ with a different spelling.
Anyways, he told me he ran across the site because Alastair is a name he is considering for his unborn child (if it is a boy.) He was doing some research on the origin of the name and somehow came upon WhoIsAlastair.com. I love getting feedback on how people find the site, so in trying to mimick his search I ran across the Wikipedia page for the name Alexander (which is the root origin of the name Alastair.) This page interestingly enough had a list of famous Alastairs – so I added a few to the site. So now we have some new members that are royalty, famous news reporters, and even a person whose name is Alastair Begg (spelled with an ‘a’) on the site.
Enjoy!
